College Student User Generated Contest
THE POLITICUS: USER GENERATED CHALLENGE
The Politicus invites college students from around the United States to participate in our 1st annual user generated challenge. Contestants are asked to create smart, sophisticated and topical full length articles about politics. The article can cover any subject from education, gay rights, environment, energy, government reform and any other subject related to politics. Contestants are encouraged to submit multiple articles if they would like. Articles are due February 20, 2009 at 9am.
User Generated Challenge Winners:
- 1st Place: $1,000 • 2nd Place: $500 • 3rd Place: $250
Also, the professor of the winning student’s will receive a cash prize:
- 1st Place: $500 • 2nd Place: $250 • 3rd Place: $175
The concept of The Politicus was developed in 2000. The Politicus is the first fully-integrated, politically-based, user-generated social network on the web. We are dedicated to building a community of political enthusiasts and encourage our users to aid us in the development of The Politicus. Users have the ability to submit full-length articles, blogs, video and much, much more.
The mission of The Politicus is to provide an open forum for our users to exchange ideas and opinions. We hope to give our users a broader view of politics through collaboration and understanding.
Article Guideline:- Article length must be a minimal of 200 words- Must focus on politics

Winners:- The winners will be picked based on how popular their articles are on our site. The top three most popular articles will win
